Mr. Tamer El Mahdi has 28 years of experience in multinational companies with a

on developing and implementing corporate strategies, including launching a number of
greenfield companies and transforming existing assets.
Mr. El Mahdi was the Group CEO of Orascom Telecom Media & Technology Holding (OTMT)
and then the Group CEO of Orascom Investment Holding company (OIH), focusing on developing,
and managing companies in a number of sectors including; Telecommunications, Information
Technology, Investment banking, Energy, Real Estate development and Entertainment.
Mr. El Mahdi was also the CEO of a number of companies including Orascom Telecom Algeria
(Djezzy), one of the largest mobile operators in the Middle East and North Africa region.
Mr. El Mahdi was the Group CTIO of Orascom Telecom Holding, overlooking the development
and implementation of the technological roadmap of fifteen mobile operations across the Middle
East, Africa, Asia & Europe.
Moreover, Mr. El Mahdi held a number of executive positions in AT&T and Lucent Technologies.
Mr. El Mahdi holds an M.Sc. in Electric and Electronic Engineering from California State
University LA, Masters in Project Management from the George Washington University, MBA in
International Business from Maastricht School of Management and a B.Sc. in Electric and
Electronic Engineering from Cairo University.
Rt Hon. Mark Simmonds was until recently The Foreign & Commonwealth
office Minister with responsibilities
for Africa, the Caribbean, UK Overseas Territories, International Energy and Conflict Prevention. He served
as a Member of the UK Parliament for 14 years. He was also a Senior Advisor to The Prime Minister David

London in 1996, and was appointed Chairman of Sotheby’s
Europe in 2011. He is involved with European business development in all client relationship activities
His contacts comprise private collectors, dealers and major museum curators in Europe. Dr Herzog von
Württemberg has served in many roles during his career with Sotheby’s. He began his career as a
Specialist in the Continental Furniture department prior to being named Managing Director of
Sotheby’s Germany in 1998. In January 2004, he was appointed PrésidentDirecteurGénéral of Sotheby’s
France, a position he held until August 2007. Within this role, Dr Herzog von Württemberg developed
an outstanding team in France and as a result, Paris is now one of Sotheby’s four international major
selling centres.
